FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER LIKES TO WEAR DEVILS TEETH & SCARY NAILS
Probably from the late 1970's is this card of Dr. Frankenstein's best creation sporting some Devils Teeth and some very bloody Scary Nails. The card was missing the Devils Teeth and I removed the Scary Nails so everyone could view the fab Frankie artwork.

I believe there's a cut scene from one of the Universal movies that show's him applying these in a misguided effort to give himself a more appealing appearance to the villagers (ending in chaos). The scene is cited for showing the monster trying to emulate the doctor who created him by giving himself some body enhancements and is believed to have been cut from the film, not because of any controversy, but because of poor continuity. If you were to watch the scene of the monster fighting the villagers the nails and teeth appear and disappear between many of the shots. Even unsophisticated 1940s audiences were sure to notice the mistake.
