MONSTERS ARE SO SILLY (PUTTY)

From the crypt of the late 1970's comes monster putty in the form of Frankenstein Glow Putty and Dracula Glow Putty by Larami Toys. The card art could have fit perfectly on any of Marvel’s horror mags from the 1970's. Actually the artwork looks like the work of the great Pablo Marcos who is best known for his work on The Tales of the Zombie and Conan the Barbarian.

Just for fun and not to let any monster feel left out, here’s a Silly Putty “lift” of the Wolfman.

BUCK OWENS & THE BUCKAROOS (IT'S A) MONSTERS HOLIDAY ALBUM COVER

The artwork is not signed, but it reminds me of something a junior high kid might draw on his school notebook. The monsters that make up the scab four are Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula, Wolfman and the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

You can listen to Buck's monster tune here.

WAX MONSTERS

Early this year I found the Laclede's Landing Wax Museum in St. Louis open and snapped a few photos of some classic monsters in the Chamber of Horrors.

1979 WOLFMAN BOXOFFICE CLIPPINGS

Both of these clippings are from Boxoffice magazine. I've never seen this movie and I hear it's a bad film, but I do like that they went with the classic Universal Wolfman look.
